: 107 storey
skyscraper construction intensifies
Busan: After settling arguments about the Yeongdo
bridge in the city of Busan, the construction of Busan
Lotte World's 107 floor building will finally start by
the end of this month (January, 2005). The arguments
ended after the city of Busan and Lotte Shopping agreed
on expanding the lanes of the bridge to ease traffic
congestion that might be caused by the high-rise hotel
complex. Ground preparation will end by March and
Koreans will start seeing the rise of their newest
tallest building.

Contemporary Art
The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa
presents a model for a 21st century art museum with a
focus on two aspects. The first is the integration of
the design of the museum space with the program. The
result of the 4-year collaboration between museum staff
and architect SANAA is a "device" that transcends its
function as a museum space to provide information and
programs offering a range of experiences to visitors,
engineering their awareness.
