AURORA PLACE, 88 PHILLIP STREET,
SYDNEY (AMRO TOWER)
The Aurora Place office
building, on the corner of Phillip and Bent Streets, Sydney,
makes a significant contribution to the city on many levels.
In particular, the building challenges the traditional
planning proposition of an office tower sitting on a podium.
The smaller footprint at its base helps create an excellent
piazza between it and the residential tower. This is covered
by an expansive web-like glass canopy, providing shelter
from the elements for people using the cafes and alfresco
dining
areas.

Proposed height extension to 350 metres for Eureka Tower
Melbourne: An application has been lodged with
the local planning authority to add a 53.75 metre high
communications mast/ observation tower to the currently
under construction Eureka Tower in Melbourne Australia.
The addition will bring the overall height of the tower
to 350 metres above ground level. Visitors will be able
to climb the tower to an observation level incorporated
into the design.

Victoria Cross
The Victoria Cross Memorial has been constructed on the
Queens Domain Hobart to honour Tasmania’s 13 Victoria
Cross bearers.
The Memorial consists of a pair of rammed earth and
glass walls constructed on a ‘footprint’ of the Victoria
Cross symbol, creating a dynamic gateway into the sacred
precinct of Tasmania’s primary war memorial, the
Cenotaph.
